Is your brand having trouble reaching all 147,294 fans? Finding that you’re getting less and less comments and likes every day? Facebook is now allowing brands to buy extra post exposure for the low starting price of $5. The price can go as high as $300 for a larger reach, but the concept is the same. According to Facebook:
“When you promote a post, it will be shown in the news feeds of more of the people who like your Page than you would reach normally. Friends of the people who have interacted with your post will also be more likely to see the story in their news feeds for up to 3 days from when the post was first created.”
As a social marketer, I find this to be very exciting, and I’m sure many brands will agree. However, as a Facebook user, I can see this being intrusive and annoying to many more than it will please. At this point, Facebook should be careful not to upset current users or investors.
